The Social Justice and Education MA programme offered by UCL is designed for students who want to understand and analyse key issues in social justice nationally and internationally, particularly in relation to inequalities in education. The programme provides tools for designing intervention strategies and for carrying out original research in social justice in education. It also provides grounding in international human rights law, with a particular focus on the rights of children and on the significance of a rights-based approach to addressing educational and social disadvantage.Key Modules: All students undertake a core module in Social Justice and Education, and choose modules from a range of options including Education, Gender and International Development, Education and Muslim Communities, and Sociology of Race and Racism.
