The SSEES (School of Slavonic and East European Studies) History MA at UCL is a specialist degree that uniquely combines high-level study in history with an in-depth focus on Eastern Europe, Russia and Eurasia. This postgraduate programme offers students the opportunity to explore the history of these regions from the early modern period to the present day.Course Content: The course provides advanced insight into significant historical trends, events, and challenges. Focusing on Eastern Europe, Russia, and Eurasia, the programme integrates concepts and methodologies from history and the social sciences. It exposes students to cutting-edge research and offers rigorous training in critical thinking and analytical and research skills.Key Modules: Core modules for all students include Historiography: Theory and Practice, Historical Research for Historians, and Dissertation in History.
