MA History

The History MA course at University College London (UCL) offers a unique opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of the complex nature of the human past. Additional elective modules allow depth and breadth in areas such as European archaeology, Byzantine history, health in history, medieval and contemporary history, political history, and religious history. The course also includes a historical research-based independent dissertation.Key Modules: The course includes the compulsory core module called 'Writing History: An Introduction to Historical Research'. Other options include modules such as 'Society and Culture in the Byzantine and Ottoman Mediterranean, 600–1800', 'Religion and Politics in Elizabethan England', and 'Greek World 1: the Archaic and Classical Periods', among others.
