MA Digital Media: Education

The Digital Media in Education MA at UCL Institute of Education (IOE) provides an enriching and comprehensive exploration of the impact of digital media on learning and its potential for transforming education. Offered through a full-time or part-time study option, this program is suitable for anyone involved in education, training, or personal development, who has an interest in digital media and learning.Course Content: As part of the Digital Media in Education MA, students will delve into topics such as the critical analysis of digital media and learning, designing learning environments, mobile learning, making social action games, designing educational software, and researching new media. They will also learn about theories of communication and multimedia cognition, as well as principles of software design.Key Modules: This course includes the study of four key modules: Digital Media: Critical Perspectives, Designing Educational Technologies, Solidarity and Connectedness:–networked lives and digital Media, and Critical Approaches to Media in Education Practice.
