BA Swedish and Yiddish

The Swedish and Yiddish BA at UCL, a unique joint program, allows students to explore two fascinating languages and cultures in depth. More importantly, it fosters a broad understanding of Scandinavian and Jewish cultures, histories, and societies. Course Content: This programme encompasses a wide range of subjects, from Scandinavian classics, such as Norse mythology, Danish cinema, and Swedish detective novels, to exploring the Jewish world, with focuses on Jewish history, Yiddish language and literature, and the Holocaust.Key Modules: Important modules in this course include Swedish Language, Introduction to Yiddish Culture, Yiddish language, Viking and Medieval Scandinavian Literature, Danish Cinema and Society, Swedish crime fiction, amongst others.Accreditations: The degree is accredited by The University College London.For more information on this course, please visit the official course page.
