The BA Romanian and Ukrainian course at University College London gives students the unique opportunity to combine the study of both Romanian and Ukrainian. This course not only provides the essential language skills, but also a deep understanding of the literature, culture, history, and politics of the countries where these languages are spoken. This course is four years long, where the third year is typically spent in Romania or Ukraine modernizing and diversifying the language skills gained in first two years.Course Content: The course curriculum includes modules covering a wide range of subjects with options to focus on interest areas. In the first two years, students will focus on mastering the language basics and gaining competency in both reading and writing. They will also study both the modern and medieval histories of Romania and Ukraine. The third year is spent abroad on a work placement, study trip or teaching assignment.
