BA Italian and Portuguese

The Italian and Portuguese BA at University College London is a full-time undergraduate course that lasts four years, including the year spent abroad. This programme allows students to study languages, culture, and history of Italy, Portugal, and the Portuguese-speaking world.Course Content: The first year covers essential grammar and language skills, along with introduction to literature, culture, and history of Italy and the Lusophone world. In the second and fourth year, students go deeper into the literature, history, culture, and politics of these countries. Third year is spent abroad either studying, working, or teaching in Italy or in a Portuguese-speaking country. Key Modules: Core modules include Italian Language, Portugal and Africa, Portugal and Brazil, Modern Italy, and modules on translation.
