BA Italian and Polish

The Italian and Polish BA course at UCL is an innovative programme that enables students to study two different cultures and languages in an exciting, multidisciplinary manner. Not only will students learn the Italian and Polish languages, but they will also be immersed in the history, thought, literature, cinema and arts of the countries that speak these languages.Course Content: Over the course of four years, students will divide their study time between London and either Italy or Poland, immersed in the culture and honing their language skills. In the first two years, the programme focuses on strengthening language proficiency while introducing students to the broad scope of Italian and Polish studies. The third year is structured around a year abroad, where students will study or work in Italy or Poland. The final year enables students to specialise in their areas of interest.Key Modules: While detailed modules are not specified, students will cover various aspects related to the languages, literatures, and cultures of Italy and Poland. These would include studying the works of politicians, thinkers, writers, filmmakers, and artists who have shaped Italian and Polish cultural and political landscapes.Future Careers: This degree equips students with excellent linguistic skills and multicultural perspectives that are highly sought after by employers.
