The Hungarian and Russian BA course at UCL allows students to learn the languages and gain insights into the societies, literature, history and politics of two of the world's most intriguing nations. This full-time, four-year course provides comprehensive instruction in Russian and Hungarian, including literature, linguistics, history, and more. Course Content: The course begins with intensive language modules in year 1, and by the end of the four years, students will have a high level of proficiency in both Russian and Hungarian. You will spend your third year abroad, either studying or gaining work experience, in a Russian- and Hungarian-speaking environment which further enhances your language skills.Key Modules: The key modules include ‘Introduction to Hungarian History and Culture’, ‘Introduction to Russian History and Culture’, ‘Elements of Hungarian Language’, ‘Elements of Russian Language’, and so on. In Year 2, modules are based on culture, literature or history and students are required to write a literature review. In Year 3, students are expected to work on an independent research project on a topic of choice.Future Careers: The Hungarian and Russian BA prepares graduates for a range of interesting careers in international organizations, banking, business, media, teaching, translation, and more.
