BA Hebrew and Polish

The Hebrew and Polish BA offered by University College London (UCL) is a unique undergraduate course that combines the comprehensive study of the Hebrew and Polish languages along with the exploration of literature, cultures, histories, socio-political contexts, and more related to these languages. This four-year degree provides thorough language training from beginner to advanced levels and includes a mandatory year of study abroad in Israel and Poland.Course Content: Throughout the course, students decipher critical reading and analytical skills pertaining to a wide range of textual, audio, and visual materials. The course offers a balanced curriculum for both Hebrew and Polish languages, including their grammatical structures, language skills, and the use of language in varying context. It also includes relevant courses in history, literature and culture of Israel, Poland and their neighboring regions.Key Modules: Some of the key modules in this program include Intensive Elementary Polish, History of the Polish Language, History and Memory in Central and Eastern Europe, Intensive Elementary Hebrew, Cultures and Contexts – a module related to history and culture of Israel, and a Year abroad including intensive language study and various elective courses at partner universities.Accreditations: Upon the completion of the course, students will receive a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from UCL.Future Careers: Graduates from this course have found employment in many different sectors including international organisations, business sector, government roles, human resource management, marketing, PR, and translation and interpreting services.
