BA French and Latin

The French and Latin BA course offered by UCL combines the study of the French language, literature and culture with the study of the Latin language and the literature of ancient Rome. This unique programme allows students to explore these two centrally important cultures, as well as examining their influence across the centuries. Course Content: The French component of the degree equips you with a solid foundation in French grammar, and includes advanced language classes, which aim to develop your written and spoken fluency. The Latin component is structured into language classes, which advance the study of Latin language, and literature classes that study a broad range of Latin literature.Key Modules: Students of this course will take key modules such as French Language, Translation into French, Introduction to French Literature, Grammar and Texts, Prose and Verse Composition, and Latin Literature.Accreditations: This course is offered by the Faculty of Arts & Humanities which is widely recognised for its world-class reputation for teaching and research.Future Careers: The broad and transferable skills gained through this degree provide a sound basis for many different careers.
