The Finnish and Italian BA course offered at UCL allows students to engage in a profound exploration of the languages, literature, history and societies of both Finland and Italy. This course not only provides a firm foundation in both languages but also allows students to delve into cultural and historical understandings.Course Content: The course duration is four years in total including a year abroad. The first two years of the course offer a solid foundation in both languages. In the third year, students pursue studies or work experience in Italy or Finland. In the final year, students return to UCL and undertake advanced-level modules and a dissertation project.Key Modules: Students will be taking mandatory modules such as 'Language, Culture & History', 'Media Society in Italy', 'Aspects of Italian Cinema' and 'Finland: Language, Culture and History'.
