BA Dutch

The Dutch BA course offered by UCL is a full-time, single honours undergraduate degree with a duration of four years. The course is an ideal choice for students who desire to gain a deep understanding of the Dutch, Flemish, and Low Countries' language, literature, history, and culture. It is designed for both absolute beginners and those who already have some knowledge of the Dutch language. The course also includes a year abroad to increase the student's cultural understanding and language proficiency.Course Content: The program starts with a comprehensive one-year Dutch foundation course. After the first year, teaching alternates by theme. The course includes a combination of Dutch language, Dutch and Flemish literature, and Low Countries' history modules. The third year is spent abroad at one of their partner institutions in the Netherlands or Flanders.
