The Danish and Yiddish BA offered at UCL is an interdisciplinary course that provides students with a thorough understanding of the Danish and Yiddish languages, cultures, and societies. Course Content: The four-year program includes intensive language instruction in both Danish and Yiddish including a year abroad in Denmark. Students will thoroughly study literature, history, culture, and cinema of the Danish and Yiddish speaking peoples. The year abroad, usually in the third year, provides an invaluable opportunity to consolidate language skills and immerse oneself in Danish and Yiddish cultures.
