The Danish and French BA course offered at UCL combines language learning with an understanding of the social, cultural, political and historical realities in these respective cultures. This full-time program spans four years, with students spending a year abroad to truly immerse themselves in the languages they are studying.Course Content: Over their time at UCL, students study both of these languages to an in-depth level while also being exposed to a range of modules covering literature, film, history, sociology, politics and culture. These modules range from the exploration of Latin American cinema to the Renaissance in France, to contemporary Denmark. The third year is dedicated to a year abroad to truly immerse and refine their practical language proficiency.Key Modules: While studying Danish, students will cover modules like Danish Language, Danish Literature, and Danish Cinema. On the French side, modules include 'French Language', 'Literature in French', and 'French History'.Future Careers: Graduates of the Danish and French BA program have found employment in a wide variety of fields, including roles in commerce, finance, the media, the civil service, teaching, translation, and interpreting.
