The Czech and Ukrainian BA at UCL provides students with the opportunity to study two fascinating Slavonic languages in a dynamic and multicultural setting. This course dives deep into the cultural heritage, contemporary social issues, literature, and history of the Czech and Ukrainian cultures. Each of the two parts of the degree includes language units at the appropriate level and a selection of modules offering cultural, historical, and sociological subjects relating to the East European world. Course Content: The Czech and Ukrainian BA is a four-year degree programme. This includes a compulsory year abroad (usually in their third year), spending a semester each in the Czech Republic and Ukraine. The first two years of the course develop students' language skills while also introducing them to Czech and Ukrainian culture, history, and literature. The final year of study concentrates on advanced usage and understanding of the language and on the study of relevant specialist subjects.Key Modules: There are some modules that are integral parts of the course and represent its focus.
