BA Bulgarian and Swedish

The Bulgarian and Swedish BA course offered by University College London (UCL) is a unique four-year programme that offers students an extensive education in the languages, literature, history, and culture of Bulgaria and Sweden. The course also includes a year aboard opportunity, allowing students to fully immerse themselves in the language and culture of either of the countries. No prior knowledge of either language is required to enroll in this course.Course Content: The course covers a broad range of topics- from the study of language, literature and culture of both countries, to spending a year abroad either in Bulgaria or Sweden, which naturally contributes to the development of fluency in one or both languages. In the first two years of the programme, students focus on gaining a strong foundation in both Bulgarian and Swedish, while also receiving a comprehensive introduction to the culture of both nations. The third year is spent abroad in either country, providing an immersive learning experience.
