LLM Insolvency Law

The University of Law is offering an LLM in Insolvency Law, ideal for both law and non-law graduates who want to develop a deep understanding of insolvency in both the UK and international level. This course will provide students with the opportunity to explore this fascinating and important subject area in depth, and gain transferable skills that are valued by employers.Course Content: The LLM in Insolvency Law focuses on giving students a comprehensive understanding of insolvency and related areas. This includes issues surrounding distressed businesses, how they can be rescued, and how stakeholders are dealt with. It will also explore the legal procedures involved and the principles relevant to cross-border insolvencies.Key Modules: Students will study modules such as Methods, Skills and Research, Business Structures and Business Failures, Rescue Mechanisms, and International and Comparative Insolvency. Additionally, students will also complete a dissertation on a subject of their choice, supervised by an academic member of the faculty.Future Careers: Following the completion of this course, graduates can pursue a wide range of legal careers such as insolvency practitioners, in-house legal advisors, barristers, solicitors, and roles in regulatory bodies among others.
