MSc Gender Studies: International Relations pathway

The Classics MA by Research offered by Royal Holloway, University of London is a flexible programme designed for independent, self-motivated students who want to undertake a research project in Classics. It provides an excellent foundation for students interested in careers in research or further study at PhD level.Course Content: The MA by Research in Classics offers training and supervision from internationally recognised scholars. This programme encourages students to develop their work through a critical awareness of the methodologies relevant to the study of the ancient world and through the use of primary sources (both literary and archaeological).Key Modules: During this programme, students can develop their work in areas such as Greek and Latin literature, ancient philosophy, history and archaeology, Byzantine studies, papyrology and aesthetics. The specific focus of the research is determined by the students themselves, with guidance from their supervisor.Future Careers: Graduates of this programme have gone on to successful careers in a range of professions, including law, teaching, business, the civil service and academia.
