The Law with Modern Languages (French) course at Royal Holloway University offers an intensive study programme in the theoretical foundations of English law, as well as the opportunity to master the French language and get a deeper understanding of French life and culture. Students will spend their third year of study at a partner university in France, which not only broadens their knowledge of French language but brings them the international experience which is highly valued in today's job market.Course Content: This four-year programme is divided into two parts: English law theory and French language. In the first two years, students will get a thorough grounding in legal concepts, principles, and rules. They will study the process of law-making, the roles of individuals, and the balance between state and citizen. In the French language part, students will build and improve their oral and written language skills. They will also get to know more about French society, politics, history, and arts.Key Modules: Some of the key modules students will study are Public Law, Contract Law, European Union Law, French language and culture, and French literature and film.
