The BA in Music with Political Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London, is a dual honors degree offering a practical and theoretical study of music, contrasting it with the exploration of politics and international relations. This three-year course combines intensive training in musicianship, complemented with a broad choice of performance, composition, and academic options, together with the study of political systems, political behavior, and international relations.Course Content: The course is composed of 50% Music and 50% Political Studies. For Music, students will take courses like Performance, Composition, and Digital technologies & aesthetics. For Political studies, modules include Comparative political institutions, Global governance, and Foreign policies of emerging powers.Key Modules: Key modules for the music component include Practical Study II for composers/performers, and Techniques of musical analysis.
