BA International Relations

The History, Politics, and International Relations course at Royal Holloway, University of London, offers a unique interdisciplinary perspective allowing students to study world-changing political events and ideas in tandem with their historical backdrop. The program is aimed at creating graduates with strong analytical and research skills who are adept at arguing their point of view and presenting complex information in a succinct, articulate manner.Course Content: Students will be encouraged to connect different political phenomena, thinking about how religious conflict, national identity, social values and gender dynamics have shaped the political landscape. They will also explore political and international relations theory, and engage in-depth with many of the most significant themes and subjects in current historical and political studies.Key Modules: This course opens up a wide range of topics from the medieval period to the present day – such as war, revolution, democracy, political thought, and public policy – and from around the globe and includes modules like 'The Global Cold War', 'Suffrage and Beyond', 'Gandhi & Indian Nationalism', and many more.Future Careers: This course provides an excellent basis for careers spanning journalism and the media, politics (both as practitioners and advisors), civil servants, non-governmental organization, and international business and finance.
