The MA in Gender and Politics is a full-time postgraduate course offered by the University of Bath. It explores the complex interactions between gender, politics, and public policy in modern democracies. Students will gain a deep understanding of political theory and contemporary debates in both gender and politics research.Course Content: This course syllabus is divided into seven units namely; Research design; Theories of gender and sexuality; Politics and policy: gender, equality, diversity; Contemporary issues in gender and politics; Masters dissertation and two optional units. Overall, the course will give students the opportunity to engage in various contemporary political debates, and develop awareness of the importance of gender and equality in formal and informal structures of power and political participation.Key Modules: The mandatory units of this programme are Contemporary Issues in Gender and Politics, Gender Equality and Policy, Theories of Gender and Sexuality, and Research Design.Accreditations: At this point, there is no accreditation listed for this course.Future Careers: This course prepares students for careers in policy-making, in NGOs, in government, or in research and academia.
