The MA Contemporary European Studies (Euromasters) course offered by the University of Bath provides students an in-depth understanding of the politics, policy, and society of contemporary Europe. This interdisciplinary program is designed to build knowledge in a wide range of attributes including the ability to understand key political issues, develop skills in policy analysis, and gain competencies in qualitative and quantitative methods.Course Content: This program consists of four mandatory units: Approaches to European Studies; EU Politics and Governance; Key Themes in European Politics; and Introduction to Quantitative Methods. Students can choose two optional units from a selection which includes Political Psychology; International Security; Domestic Politics of the EU Member States; and Global Governance. Students also undertake a dissertation project related to contemporary European studies.Key Modules: The significant modules in this course comprise Approaches to European Studies; EU Politics and Governance; Key Themes in European Politics; Introduction to Quantitative Methods; and a specially designed dissertation project.
