The MSc Sustainability and Management is a postgraduate course offered by the University of Bath. This is a full-time, one-year program which integrates sustainability issues with management theory and practice. This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to the necessary solutions for our environmental problems, focusing on businesses, NGOs, governments or research organizations.Course Content: This course offers a comprehensive foundation in management, while including a detailed overview of the complexities and challenges in the field of sustainability. After the first semester, however, students will be given the freedom to choose their own areas of special interest and study those in detail. Besides the compulsory dissertation, each semester includes a balance of compulsory and optional units, allowing for flexibility. Key Modules: There are two semesters dedicated to taught material, which includes Compulsory units such as Business Economics; Principles of Marketing; Business and Society; Sustainability Management in Business; and Climate Change and Sustainability: Economics, Policy and Practice. Optional units may include Corporate Finance; Behavioural Finance; Strategic Human Resource Management; International Business in the Global Economy; and International Business Strategy. Future Careers: Graduates from this course may have careers across a broad range of sectors and industries. Some of these are in business, government, research and non-governmental organizations.
