The MEng Civil Engineering with professional placement at the University of Bath offers a unique opportunity to learn civil engineering skills in a professional environment, achieving practical understanding as well as academic knowledge. The course extends over five years, inclusive of a paid professional placement year. Course Content: During the course, students will learn how to design, construct, and maintain the infrastructure that supports everything from buildings to transportation and power supplies. They will work on real-life projects that develop their teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills and gain further industry experience through an integrated placement year. Key Modules: Some of the key modules taken throughout the course include Structural Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Dynamics, and Mathematics. However, in the final two years of the course, students have the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of optional units to suit their interests and career goals. The professional placement year will offer real-life experience in a working environment.
