The MSci Biology program offered by Bath University is an immersive and research-intensive course designed for learners interested in the field's core principles and practical applications. This four-year course combines a three-year undergraduate study with a final year of Master's level study, offering learners the opportunity to become researchers by their fourth year.Course Content: The MSci Biology program is divided into two parts. The first three years cover a broad range of biology topics, from genes and cells to ecosystems and behaviour. The final year focuses on independent research work, where students access the latest research facilities and work alongside expert researchers. Optional placements in industry or research labs enhance the learning experience. Key Modules: The topics covered in this course range from animal biology, plant sciences, evolution and biodiversity, to biochemistry, molecular genetics, and data analysis. In their final year, students have the option to choose between undertaking a research project or work placement. Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology for the purpose of meeting in part the academic and experience requirement for the Membership and Chartered Biologist (CBiol).
