The MSci Mathematics and Physics course at the University of Bath provides students with an in-depth and advanced study of both Physics and Mathematics. This full-time program lasts for 4 years and prepares students for increased competency in scientific research and its interdisciplinary character, specifically in the sectors that require both physics and mathematical skills.Course Content: The MSci Mathematics and Physics course allows you to study both physics and mathematics in parallel. The first two years focus on developing your knowledge and understanding of these two subjects before specialising in your third and final years. As a part of the course, students also conduct experiments in the laboratories and formatively engage in problem-solving.Key Modules: The key modules for this course include Physics and Mathematics, Calculus, Waves, Universe and Everything, Introduction to Fourier Methods and Statistics, Quantum Physics, Electromagnetism and Optics, Algebra and Geometry, Quantum Mechanics, and more.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Institute of Physics (IOP) and the research groups part of the Department are internationally recognized for their work in astrophysics, condensed matter physics, and soft matter physics.Future Careers: Upon graduation, you will be well-prepared for roles that include theoretical, experimental and computational work in fundamental and applied research. You may work in academia, industrial research, engineering, finance, IT and education. Alumni of this course are employed in companies such as Deloitte, Dyson, and BAE Systems. For more information on this course, please visit the official course page.
