The MA Visualization in Film and TV Production course at Buckinghamshire New University is primarily targeted towards professionals and graduates who have an interest in visual effects (VFX) and want to boost their career in film or television production. This programme offers students an opportunity to utilise existing skills like building, lighting, and documenting sets to create filmic sequences.Course Content: This Master's course focuses on the integration of film and digital visual effects, combining practical experience with theory. It covers the entire VFX process, starting from building sets physically and filming them with professional cameras, to integrating them with CG through compositing. To ensure students have a broad understanding, they also explore areas such as colour science, filming with a virtual camera in a CG environment, and virtual production. Key Modules: The course is structured into three parts. In the initial stage, students engage with the essential creative and technical skills in professional VFX production. In the second stage, they improve their specialisms in their chosen area, undertaking a collaborative project with students across other postgraduate disciplines.
