BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering

The BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering course offered by Buckinghamshire New University is an undergraduate program designed to equip students with the technological skills and knowledge required in the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The course combines practical laboratory work with theoretical studies, ensuring students are well-versed in problem-solving, designing, and creating solutions to complex engineering problems. Course Content: Over the course of this program, students will gain expertise in a variety of areas including power engineering, electronics, telecommunications, and computer control systems. They will also gain understanding of the commercial, legal and environmental impact of engineering decisions. Emphasis is placed on system design, implementation and operation, for both hardware and software, and includes business, management and sustainability principles.Key Modules: Some of the primary modules students will engage in throughout this course comprise of engineering mathematics and physics, digital and analog electronics, power electronics and drives, control systems and automation, and computer-aided design. Accreditations: This course is also accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) which satisfies the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status when presented with an accredited MSc.Future Careers: Graduates of this program can expect to find careers in a wide range of sectors such as aerospace, automotive, energy, IT and telecommunication industries.
