BA (Hons) Photography

The BA (Hons) Photography course at Buckinghamshire New University aims to foster creative intelligence and encourages students to push traditional boundaries in their work. Students are supported in developing their individual perspective and approach within contemporary practice, to become innovators within the expanding field of visual communication.Course Content: Throughout the course, students will engage in a diverse range of creative practices and spaces. They will be able to forge their photographic identity through the exploration of genre-specific techniques, digital and analogue. There are also opportunities to work on live briefs for real clients. Key Modules: Key modules of the course include Commercial Practice, Editorial Portrait, Still Life and Advertising, The Moving Image and Institutional Practice. Other interesting areas include Virtual Reality, Real Estate Photography, Film Set Photography, Corporate and Media Practice, Gallery Practice, Museum and Heritage Sector, and Video and Filmmaking.Accreditations: The course is accredited by Buckinghamshire New University. Future Careers: The course opens prospects to a vast range of career choices including corporate photographer, gallery curator, editorial/magazine photographer, style photographic artist, picture editor and art director.
