The BA (Hons) Film Production course offered by Bucks New University is designed to provide budding filmmakers with the essential skills, knowledge, and contacts they need to create their own projects and work within the film industry. With a focus on practical experience, students will have the chance to write, direct and produce their own films, while also learning the business side of the film industry. Course Content: The course is divided into levels - Level 4 introduces the fundamentals such as visual storytelling, editing, cinematography, and sound. At Level 5, learners deepen their understanding of the subject through modules on documentary filmmaking, experimental film, and short narratives, amongst others. Level 6 features modules on Professional Practice, Final Projects, and a Dissertation allowing students to put into practice everything they've learned.Key Modules: Key modules covered in this course range from ‘Visual Storytelling’ in the first year, ‘Documentary Filmmaking’ and ‘Advanced Short Narrative' in the second year, through to 'Professional Practice' and 'Final Project’ in the final year.Future Careers: Graduates of this course have gone on to various roles in the film industry such as independent filmmakers, writers, directors, editors, cinematographers and more.
