BA (Hons) Film and Television Production

The BA (Hons) Film and Television Production course at Buckinghamshire New University is a dynamic and innovative program that focuses on producing creative and technically skilled graduates. Grounded in the creative development and technical production of film and television, this course gives students a deep understanding of the industry while allowing for a hands-on learning experience.Course Content: Throughout the course, students will work on a wide range of film and TV projects that correlate to industry standards. The course covers screenplay, directing, cinematography, sound, editing, production management and design, with a strong emphasis on storytelling using modern technologies. Students will also create their own portfolio, producing different genres of film and TV programmes.Key Modules: Students will take modules such as Short Film Production, TV Studio Production, Film and Television Cultures, Cinematography and Lighting, Directing Factual TV, Producing Corporate and Commercial content, as well as undertake an independent project in their final year.Future Careers: Upon completion of the course, graduates can pursue careers in varied roles such as directors, producers, screenwriters, cinematographers, sound designers, editors, production managers, or set designers.
