MSc Financial Analytics

The MSc Financial Analytics course at Swansea University is aimed at graduates with a mathematical background, looking to develop an in-depth knowledge of the practical application of quantitative methodologies in the finance sector. The course is a full-time program that typically lasts 18 months and is available for an annual intake in September.Course Content: The MSc Financial Analytics course content covers topics such as financial markets and corporate finance, as well as how quantitative skills can be applied to financial decision-making. Students will learn how to analyse and interpret data, develop financial models, use statistical software and understand financial market transactions and financial risk management. Additionally, students will undertake a project, which can either be research-based or conducted in collaboration with a company.Key Modules: The key units in this course include; Quantitative Methods for Finance, Financial Economics & Decisions, Financial Modelling, Corporate Finance, International Financial Markets and an optional choice between Research Methods and Financial Data Science. Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
