BA Hons Politics

BA Politics at Swansea University is a three-year undergraduate program which covers in depth the dynamics of political power and governance, and the role of political institutions in contemporary society. Throughout the program, students are challenged to critically analyze current affairs, political ideas, institutions and global politics. Course Content: During the course of study, students are equipped with a significant knowledge of politics and principles of governance, equipped with research, analytical and presentation skills, and experience group work and presentations. There is an option to study this course in Welsh, and also the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at one of the university's many partner institutions. Key Modules: Key modules covered in the program include Introduction to Political Analysis, Politics and War, Politics in the 21st Century, Justice and Politics: Contemporary Political Theory, and Politics Dissertation, among others.Future Careers: Graduating students from this program are well-positioned for career paths in areas such as civil service, research organizations, non-governmental organizations, journalism, international organizations, and the private sector.
