The BA (Hons) Criminology & Law course at Bournemouth University is an innovative and insightful program that combines the study of criminology with an in-depth understanding of the law. This course provides students with a rounded understanding of the nature of crime and society's reaction to it, whilst equipping them with the skills and knowledge to embark on a wide range of careers.Course Content: This full-time, three-year course involves studying different subject areas like understanding crime, criminal justice, contemporary legal skills, jurisprudence, youth justice, crime and punishment, forensic psychology, corporate and business law and many others. The course also includes an optional work placement between the second and final year.Key Modules: Some of the key modules that students will study include Understanding Crime, Criminological Theory, Criminal Law, Public and EU Law, and Law of Tort. Furthermore, the Investigative Studies and Dissertation modules provide a deep synthesis of criminology and law understandings.Accreditations: The BA (Hons) Criminology & Law degree is a ‘Qualifying Law Degree’ (QLD).
