The International Commercial and Corporate Law LLM course at the University of Westminster is designed to provide students with an in-depth knowledge and comprehensive understanding of contemporary business law, specifically focusing on international and transnational aspects of commercial and corporate law. The course is taught by our highly skilled team, many of whom are practicing lawyers. The course duration is one year (full time) and it starts in September 2024.Course Content: This course will allow students to explore areas such as e-commerce, corporate governance, competition law, and intellectual property law along with gaining an understanding of the role of corporations in a globalised context. It focuses on practical and interactive teaching and allows students to work on case law, real scenarios, critical debates, while also adopting an interdisciplinary approach to assessment.Key Modules: The core modules include International Commercial Law Problems and Issues, Commercial Law in Context, Dissertation or Project, and Legal Skills and Principles. The course also offers a wide range of option modules including Topics in Commercial Law and Intellectual Property Law.Future Careers: On completion of this course, graduates may have a variety of career opportunities including working as in-house lawyers, as legal advisors to government and international organizations, or in specialist law firms.
