BSc (Hons.) Finance

The Finance BSc (Honours) is a full-time undergraduate course offered by the University of Westminster. The course aims to develop key skills in finance, quantitative methods and economics whilst providing students with a firm grasp on the principles of modern finance, including capital structure, dividend policy, risk, return and asset valuation.Course Content: The course covers a varied range of topics including financial markets, corporate finance, financial strategy, asset valuation, securities, and derivatives. Students will also study more broader subjects related to business and finance such as economic theories, accounting, and corporate law.Key Modules: Some of the key modules include Investment Analysis, Corporate Risk Management, International Financial Management, Corporate Financial Strategy, Quantitative Methods for Finance, and Principles of Insurance.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI), the largest professional body for those who work in the securities and investment industry in the UK. Upon successful completion of the course, students will also be entitled to exemptions from some exams of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).Future Careers: Graduates are well-equipped for careers in investment banking, financial services, finance-related research and consultancy.
