The Law with Business LLB (Hons) at the University of Brighton is a full-time undergraduate course, designed to equip students with core legal knowledge and skills, as well as a strong understanding of key business principles. Over the course of three years, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the English Legal System, EU Law and enjoy opportunities for placements or internships in legal practices or businesses.Course Content: The study programme is spread over three levels with a specialist focus on business law. Each module aims to enhance critical thinking, research, presentation and debate skills, and allows for optional specialization areas such as litigation and advocacy, employment law, and intellectual property law.Key Modules: In the first year, students will partake in Introduction to Law and Legal Processes, Contract Law, and Business Environment, among others. For the second and third years, core and optional modules include EU Law, Legal Research and Reasoning, Business Ethics, and Marketing Principles.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Bar Standards Board (BSB), hence qualifying graduates for the status of a 'qualifying law degree' (QLD). This offers direct entry to the Legal Practice Course (LPC) for solicitors or Bar course for barristers.Future Careers: After completing the Law with Business LLB (Hons), graduates are prepared for diverse career paths. These include, but are not limited to becoming a solicitor, barrister, paralegal, legal executive or roles in business sectors such as marketing, HR, and management.
