The Diagnostic Radiography BSc (Hons) at the University of Brighton provides a clinically integrated course with strong theoretical understanding and practical skills necessary for a successful career in diagnostic radiography. Through this course, students study the scientific and technological aspects of medical imaging and gain hands-on experience in the university's skills labs and on clinical placements.Course Content: The course includes scientific and technical practice of medical imaging, academic development, professional practice, alongside continuous understanding of the patient-centred diagnostic pathway. Students also undertake a compulsory clinical placement which provides workplace experience. Key Modules: Some of the key topics include Imaging Modalities, Anatomy and Pathology, Radiographic Techniques, Radiation Protection, and Radiographic Image Evaluation. Accreditations: The course is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and accredited by the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR).Future Careers: Graduates often enter the profession of diagnostic radiography in the UK or abroad, working in hospitals or the independent sector.
