The Building Surveying BSc(Hons) course at the University of Brighton provides students with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed to make a difference in the evolving world of building surveying. Students will explore the scientific, design, technical, economic and managerial aspects of the profession, and study modules that focus on building and construction technology, contract law, building pathology and property law.Course Content: In the first year, students will cover the basics, learning about building and construction technology, contract law and CDM regulations, with visits to construction sites. During the second year, students will experience a varied module makeup, taking on more responsibility for their own learning through project work.
