The Nutrition and Health BSc (Hons) offered by Coventry University is a full-time, science-based course designed to teach students about the relevance and impact of diet and nutrition on health and disease. The course aims to develop well-rounded and skilled health professionals who can deliver nutrition advice to improve and maintain health in individuals, communities and populations.Course Content: Over three years, students will study applied human nutrition, diet and disease, physical activity and lifestyle with an opportunity for six weeks of work-related experience, often conducted in a healthcare setting, a nursery, school or college.Key Modules: The course covers a range of modules including Cell and Molecular Biology, Nutritional Physiology, Human Nutrition, Lifestyle and Health, Epidemiology and Public Health, and Cultural Behaviours around Food Consumption, among others.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN), which fulfils part of the requirements for registration as an Associate Nutritionist.Future Careers: Graduates could pursue a career in population health nutrition, public health, academia or research. They could also consider sports nutrition, nutrition journalism, or product development and testing.
