The Media and Communications BA (Hons) course at Coventry University is designed to offer an innovative approach to understanding the field of media and communications. It aims for students to harness practical skills in multi-platform communications, content creation, social media and public relations. Course Content: The course is broken up into a number of modules which are subject to change periodically. The course provides an immersive grounding in most aspects of media and communications while allowing specialization through option modules. It combines practical skills with theoretical insights engaging students in production and content creation, strategic communication, analysis and understanding of the media and cultural theory. Key Modules: In the first year of study, students engage in modules such as Digital Media Fundamentals and Media Culture. In the second year, students dive deeper with modules like Strategies of Managing Communication and Digital Media and Society. Final year students can expect to work on a Final Major Project or engage in Discursive Perspectives in Advertising and Public Relations among other modules. Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
