The Graphic Design BA (Hons) course at Coventry University is a contemporary and career-focused degree that reflects the world of today's graphic designer and allows students to discover their own personal approach to graphic design, combining a comprehensive understanding of the craft and technical nuances via hands-on projects.Course Content: Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to explore graphic design through a range of digital and traditional mediums, and also the chance to specialize in a variety of areas, including advertising, illustration, packaging, or typography. Students are encouraged to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are integral components in the development of a unique personal aesthetic and a design portfolio. Practical projects are often supported by contextual and theoretical studies.Key Modules: The three key modules in this course are Design Process, Typographic Studies, and Graphic Design. In Design Process module, students are able to develop an understanding of the creative process, studying the basics of line, color, texture, and form. The Typographic Studies module explores historical and contemporary typographic practices.
