BA (Hons.) Geography

The Geography BA (Hons) programme at Coventry University offers a multidisciplinary approach to studying geography, integrating both natural and social sciences. Combining both field and laboratory work, it aims to develop a broad understanding of geographical issues. Course Content: The course content covers a wide range of geographical areas, from the physical to human aspects, equipping students with the ability to integrate the two. The first year focuses on key geographical themes and skills, the second year delves deeper into more specialized geographical topics, and in the final year, students undertake a self-selected project alongside other selected modules. Key Modules: Key modules of the course include Global Environmental Issues, Earth’s Changing Surface, Sustainable Futures, Environmental Hazards, and Urban and Regional Development. Other modules that students can select from include Climate Change, Disaster Management, Coastal and Marine Environments, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), and Global Food Security.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Royal Geographical Society, an international acknowledgement of the programme's excellence in geographic education.Future Careers: This course equips students with a wide range of transferable skills, making them suitable for a variety of paths post-graduation.
