BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering

The Civil Engineering BEng course at Aston University is a three-year program that focuses on equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the civil engineering industry. This course takes a practical and contemporary approach to civil engineering, where students combine both theory and hands-on experience. Course Content: Over the course of three years, students will get the opportunity to undertake challenging projects and coursework that promote problem-solving skills within the context of modern civil engineering. They will be exposed to the different facets of civil engineering, from design to construction, and maintenance of the built environment.Key Modules: Some of the modules provided in this course include Structural Mechanics, Soil Mechanics, Design of Structural Elements, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics, Surveying for Civil Engineers, and Theory and Design of Structures, to name a few. Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT), and the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE).
