BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying

The BSC (Hons) Quantity Surveying course at Solent University is designed to prepare students for successful careers in the construction industry. Offering a balance of theory and practice, the course focuses on teaching valuable skills such as project management, cost management, and construction technology. Course Content: The curriculum covers various core aspects of Quantity Surveying including Construction Technology, Economics, and Surveying. Students will learn about building technology, building science, measurement, law, economics, management, health, safety, and environment, among other topics.Key Modules: The course consists of several key modules including Building Technology & Environmental Science, Law for the Built Environment, Surveying and Construction Practice, Management Principles, Building and Quantity Surveying Practice, Strategic Management and many more. In their final year, students will undertake a research project, allowing them to explore and investigate a chosen area of technology, environment, management, law or economics. Accreditations: This course is accredited by professional bodies including the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE).Future Careers: Upon course completion, students can develop their careers in a variety of sectors within the construction industry.
