The Early Childhood Studies BA (Hons) degree at the University of Northampton is a rigorous and varied program aiming to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in early years education and related pathways. This full time 3-years course is recognized by a range of professional bodies and can help open doors in a number of exciting and rewarding careers.Course Content: The program provides students with an expansive understanding of a child’s early development and learning. It offers the opportunity to study the impact of the family and society on childhood and the role of services in supporting children and families. Students will also gain exposure to contemporary international content and policy developments.Key Modules: Some of the core modules include Child and Family Law, Children and Families in a Digital Age, Educational and Developmental Psychology, Researching with Children and Young People, and Safeguarding and Professional Practice.
