The Acting BA (Hons) offered at the University of Northampton is designed to fuel students' passion for performance. It provides them with intensive, practical training that prepares them to work professionally in theatre and related industries. Course Content: Throughout the course, students will be trained by professional actors to develop creative potential and practical ability, allowing them to gain the right skills and knowledge needed in the acting industry. They will be given opportunities to perform in both in-house productions and public shows, with professional directors visiting regularly to help them enhance performance skills. Moreover, students will study Shakespeare’s theatre, contemporary performance, and acting for the camera, alongside specialist areas such as physical theatre and improvisation.Key Modules: Key modules include Acting Technique, Theatre Making, Professional Practice, Contemporary Acting Styles, Acting for Screen, and Creative Projects.Accreditations: The University of Northampton is authorised to operate by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA).Future Careers: Graduates of this course can look forward to opportunities in professional theatre in roles such as actor, director, and drama teacher.
