BEng (Hons) Energy & Environmental Engineering

The BEng/BEng Hons Energy and Environmental Engineering is a full-time undergraduate course offered by Edinburgh Napier University. This course aims to create professional engineers capable of designing, developing, and implementing sustainable engineering solutions while adapting to the challenges in the energy and environment sector. Course Content: This course offers a rigorous understanding of the principles and practices of environmental management, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and more. Learners are exposed to various educational methods, including seminars, workshops, lab work, guided reading, problem-solving exercises, and group projects.Key Modules: Some of the key modules include Thermofluids, Solid Mechanics, Engineering Principles, Mechanics and Properties of Matter, Foundational Engineering Mathematics, Integrated Engineering Studies, and more.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Energy Institute (EI) and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE). Students may be entitled to transfer to a related MEng course after the third year, subject to academic approval.Future Careers: This degree prepares students for a variety of roles such as energy managers, environmental consultants, and engineers in sectors involving mechanical programming, planning, hospitality, consultancy among others.
